It's Always Sunny In Gregadelphia: Skrillex? who?

Skrillex? who?

Okay so for those of you who don't know, after seeing Deadmau5 live in Boston, which by the way completely blew my mind, I kind of jumped on the mau5wagon and became a follower of this musical genius. And along with my daily checks of his twitter page, Facebook stalking and pretty much anything related to him I stumbled upon a new artist(to me that is) that he is " promoting ". His name is Skrillex. Corey Feldman look alike right? Well anyway, this guy was a front man for a hardcore band "From first to last" for a while and has toured with the likes of other similar bands like Hollywood Undead, and All Time Low. I don't really know those bands at all but in the midst of all that metal-core madness he decided to produce electronic music. I have yet to find a sound and style to his music but it blends some crazy fast "Nintendoish" blip sounds , some heavy wobble and unique vocal samples, some of which sound almost too random. But any-who, I can bet that due to his recent tour appearances with the Mau5 himself will get his name on the big bill venues very soon. Hell, an opening set is already a huuuge step in anyone's career. I foresee that he will begin to create more of his own music rather then being a remix DJ. If I were to sum up his musical direction it would be "deadmau5 on steroids and speed". I leave you with a track that seems to be catching the most attention. I recommend also checking out his remix of La Roux's In for the Kill as well as a track called Make Things for Smile.

I live for the music.

Track and Pic I ripped off a fellow blogger. I felt it was a good first post because it kind of summarizes that mood I'm in.  Pretty Chill tune, kind of caught my attention while doing some homework.

Number 95 on the top 100 list, but I give him tons of credit for this choon. Great buildup and I like the steady vocal chorus that just pops in your ear.
